HOSTAGES IN THE STANDOFF BETWEEN
TUNISIAN AUTHORITIES DESCRIBE AS
ISLAMISTS AND POLICE IN TUNISIA,
ALL OF THE HOSTAGES HAVE BEEN
RELEASED.
THIS AFTER, ACCORDING TO REPORTS
FROM TUNISIAN OFFICIALS, EIGHT
PEOPLE WERE KILLED.

OUT, EIGHT PEOPLE HAVE BEEN
KILLED IN THE ATTACK INSIDE THE
MUSEUM.
A NUMBER OF THEM FOREIGN
TOURISTS.
THE SPEAKER OF FRENCH PARLIAMENT
SAID THAT ONE OF THEM MAY BE A
FRENCH TOURISTS.
WE'RE STILL TRYING TO CONFIRM
THAT DETAIL AS WELL.
NOW ALSO APPEARS THAT DOZENS OF
PEOPLE HAVE BEEN INJURED AND
TAKEN TO NEARBY HOSPITALS.
WE DON'T KNOW HOW SEVERELY
WOUNDED THEY ARE IN THIS ATTACK.
WE DO KNOW FROM HOSPITALS THAT
THEY ARE CURRENTLY BEING TREATED
THERE.
SO IT DOES SEEM VERY FLUID AT
THE MOMENT.
IT'S NOT CLEAR IF THE SITUATION
IS COMPLETELY OVER BUT CLEARLY
THINGS VERY TENSE ON THE GROUND
THERE WHERE HUNDREDS OF TOURISTS
WERE IN THIS AREA.

THEY WERE USHERED INTO THE
MUSEUM WHEN GUNSHOTS WERE HEARD
BECAUSE THEY THOUGHT THEY WOULD
BE SAFER IN THERE BUT THAT'S
ALSO APPARENTLY WHERE THE GUNMEN
TOOK HOSTAGES AND SO THE
TOURISTS THAT WERE IN THE MUSEUM
HAD TO BE EVACUATED BY A BACK
DOOR.

EXPECT THE PRESIDENT OF TUNISIA

dc-area and he was on a subway near the
station when the bomb went off this
morning brian carroll thank you so much
for joining us what did you see what did
you hear and did you have any idea that
you were in danger I live in Bothell I
was going I normally don't take the
metro and I had a conference on my way
to the natural I saw my my smartphone
that there are two big cocks the airport
and actually had a moment
morning thinking about you but i dont on
literally literally minutes after I
stopped on the train or it was stationed
there is a massive explosion you could
feel it through the metro train the
lights went out the power went out
everyone dropped to the floor people
were crying and screaming and yelling
for everyone to calm down and I also
went through the floor and we were
waiting there for a little bit and and
there are multiple
could feel them and then eventually the
passengers want to try and open the door
which was locked because the power had
gone out there were automatically open
the door and mental capacity of pried
open the doors and you know I didn't
know what was happening I didn't know if
the attack was happening on during the
gulf war it was happening at the station
it sounded like explosions I didn't know
it was the third done in a while and I
also had a moment of joy stay on the
train and waiting hoping the way or do I
make a run for it not knowing what's on
the other side of the platform and I
decided to go for a run for it I i you

certified and ran out ran up to the exit
it was clear that Bri everywhere there
was smoke everywhere actually the
natural people on the streets were
looking into natural wondering what was

as soon as that happened it was a
terrorist attack I just want to be clear

terrifying to me it's interesting that
you said you had a moment of hesitation
when you heard about the explosion at
the airport what made you hesitate
well you know we've got two and a half
years and over the past few months you
know we we know that there's a threat
what happened months ago and that's very
close to hear the federal government has
been conducting rate than you know
obviously a lot of the the terrorists
were identified from homegrown and and
Belgium which is just starting so you
know I knew this was going to lie I you
know we have the front of this happening
for a long time but you know I heard
about the attack
