Animal attacks on a plane: Plane crash caused by crocodile
Hi it's Vinny. And today I have another anxiety
tip for you. This one is going to be about
stating your boundaries. Now what boundaries
are we talking about? Well, I know most of
you that have anxiety might have panic attacks.
And while we have those panic attacks sometimes
we're not able to function enough at a capacity
where we can kind of communicate with the
people who might be around us.
I know for me personally, it's pretty hard
for me to talk and at times I can't even really
string together cohesive thoughts. Let alone
like trying to form a sentence. And if I am
able to say anything often times it will come
out as stuttering and it will come out a little
bit incoherent.
And I wanna say that while you're in this
state, it's really too late sometimes to tell
people how to help you. Because you could
be screaming inside for all you know for all
you know that andquot;hey I just want someone to
hug me or I need someone to just let me cry
or maybe hold my handandquot; but nobody's going
to know that.
And now this is where stating your boundaries
comes in. You need to talk to the people that
are in your life, whether being a family member,
a friend, you know a significant other and
basically set them aside and explain to them
what happens while your having a panic attack.
And what kind of things you respond to positively.
You know you're the one who's gonna know best
what things help and what things make it worse.
Now for me, I make sure to state that saying
things like andquot;calm downandquot; is extremely triggering
for me. I become more upset than I was before
and could actually cause me to be angry rather
than panicked or frightened.
So we don't wanna say stuff like that. Another
thing is I don't like to be touched. I don't
really, I'm not into physical contact and
that's a little bit less to do with my anxiety
more to do with my PTSD but when I'm in a
panic state I'm extremely vulnerable. So I
know most people have a tendency when they
want to comfort someone to put an arm around
them , to hold them, hug them I absolutely,
do not like that. And my panic will get that
much worse.
So you know I basically say like andquot;hey if you
see me starting to panic, you know, try not
to kind of touch me. Just kind of try to soothe
me with your words, so to speak.andquot; And this
is very important because it's going to help
not only the people that might be around you
when this is happening, but it's also gonna
kinda help future you to de-escalate from that
panic state.
You know, when you're you're up here you kinda
, you kinda can't handle things to the best
of your ability and you want to implement
these coping strategies but you just can't.
So you gotta kinda bring it it a little bit down.
Before you're able to kind of see if you can
do management of any kind.
And a support system can really be helpful.
So telling people what kind of words they
should say, what they shouldn't do, and shouldn't
say is really gonna help you out there. And
you know just let them know, let know if there's
something that will actually trigger you or
make things worse. You gotta set those boundaries.
You know, not everybody would know about me
that you know when I'm crying and it's getting
very, very intense that that I don't wanna
be hugged or touched or anything.
And sometimes I don't you know I don't like
people asking me questions it's just, it's
too overwhelming for me to think. I myself
don't even like for people to ask me to communicate
to them, because that's something that will
make the internal process that's going on
in my mind a much greater struggle.
So, just wanted to give you that little tip.
That you know setting your boundaries sorta
telling people like what your expectations
are and what kind of helps and doesn't help
when you are in a state of extreme anxiety.
You know it's really gonna help. It's really
gonna pay-off and I just encourage you to
try it out next time.
You know, like I said you know set someone
aside, say andquot;listen, I realize you've probably
seen things kinda get really bad for me. These
are the kind of things that help.andquot;
So I hope you enjoyed that tip for this week
and I will see you next time. Bye

Most SHOCKING Biological Weapons Ever!
Biological weapons have been used by humans
for thousands of years in some form or another,
although recently they have become much more
dangerous.
What is biological warfare?
Biological warfare is the use of bacteria,
viruses, and other living organisms with the
intent to kill or incapacitate humans, animals
or plants as an act of war. A biological attack
today could result in thousands of civilian
casualties and could be very difficult to
contain.
Here are 18 examples of biological warfare
in history:
18. Scythian archers from Persia would tip
their arrows with snake venom, decomposing
bodies, blood, and manure to cause a wound
to get infected. People would die slow deaths
from infection or lose limbs due to the bacteria.
This was also an effective technique used
in the legendary Trojan War, the Odyssey,
and the Iliad, fun fact for those of you who
enjoy ancient, Greek battles.
17. In the 4th century Greeks and Romans would
throw animal cadavers into wells to poison
the water. The villagers would then dehydrate
to death or get sick enough for the town to
get overthrown.
16. In 590 BC Greek tribes poisoned the water
supply of the town of Kirrha (in Greece) with
the toxic plant hellebore which would cause
violent diarrhea and incapacitated the soldiers
and townspeople. I imagine thatâ™s why wine
became so popularâ¦
15. You may remember Hannibal of Carthage
as the general who crossed the Alps with elephants
to attack Rome. He also demonstrated his naval
military abilities in 184 BC when he ordered
his sailors to catapult jars filled with venomous
snakes onto enemy ships. It was probably the
resulting chaos, rather than the poisonous
bites that helped Hannibal to win easily.
14. In 198 the city of Hatra (in Iraq) scared
away the Roman army by throwing clay pots
filled with live scorpions at them. The panic
strategy again!!!
13. In 1155 Emperor Frederick I (known as
Barbarossa) used the bodies of dead and decomposing
soldiers to poison the water during the battle
of Tortona, Italy. Yuck. No need for funerals,
just dump them in the well.
12. Many towns were taken over by using victims
of the bubonic plague for biological attacks.
The attacking army would catapult infected
corpses and excrement over the city walls.
Probably the most famous example was in 1346
when the Mongols under Genghis Khan attacked
Caffa (located in Ukraine) by catapulting
the bodies of soldiers who had died of the
plague over the walls into the city. As the
occupying Genoese fled it is most likely that
they took many flea-infested rats with them
on the ships back to Italy and greatly contributed
to the spread of the Black Death in Europe.
The plague ended up killing almost 50% of
the European and Chinese population.
11. The Russians used this strategy once again
in 1710 when the troops catapulted plague
victims into the city of Reval during a war
with Sweden. The reason the plague was so
terrifying was this: after an incubation period
of 2 to 10 days, there is an abrupt onset
of symptoms. These range from high fevers,
headaches, and muscle pain to nausea and vomiting.
The bubo develops in the groin as the legs
are the most commonly flea bitten part of
the body. Dark skin eruptions often encircle
the neck. The plague victim develops shock
or low blood pressure and the skin starts
to turn gray. As the disease progresses limbs
become black from gangreneâ¦All in all a
pretty horrifying experience.
10. In 1495 Spanish forces gave their French
enemies wine mixed with the blood of Leprosy
patients during battles in Southern Italy.
I guess they figured out what everyone was
drinking- it wasnâ™t water. Leprosy was thought
to be a curse or a punishment from God. The
main symptom of leprosy is disfiguring skin
sores, lumps, or bumps due to nerve damage.
People were terrified of looking like this.
9. In the 17th century (1650) Polish troops
tried to fire saliva from rabid dogs towards
their enemies. Iâ™m not sure how successful
that was, but as you can see people were starting
to get pretty creativeâ¦.
8. 1797 Napoleon floods the plains around
Mantua, Italy to enhance the spread of malaria.
Pretty clever, 12 years later Napoleon was
probably smiling to himself when the British
soldiers started dying of malaria and dysenteryâ¦Notice
I said 12 years, he was a pretty patient guy.
7. The first recorded andquot;weaponizedandquot; biological
agent in North America occurred during the
French and Indian Wars (1754 to 1767). A commander
of the British forces wanted to âœreduceâ
the size of the Native American population.
He ordered his men to collect blankets and
handkerchiefs with the pus or dried scabs
from the smallpox sores of the infected British
troops in the infirmary. On June 24, 1763,
a Captain ceremoniously gave the blankets
and one handkerchief to the Indians invited
to meet at the fort, thinking they were there
for a truce. Smallpox is highly infectious
without infected blankets and together with
other diseases brought by Europeans (either
intentional or not) it is estimated that between
400,000 - 500,000 Native Americans died during
and after the war.
6. During the civil war in the United States,
the Confederate army was accused of trying
to infect Union troops using the clothing
of small pox victims. Small pox was one of
the world's most devastating diseases known
to humanity. The person would have flu-like
symptoms, then right when the person started
to feel better, flat, red spots would appear.
Within a day or two, a rash would also appear
and many of these lesions would turn into
small blisters filled with clear fluid, which
then turned into pus. Scabs would form and
eventually fall off, leaving deep, pitted
scars. Lesions in the mucous membranes of
the nose and mouth would quickly turn into
sores that broke open. Throughout the whole
illness, the person would be highly contagious
and therefore it was easy for the disease
to spread. Fun fact- small pox was declared
eradicated in 1980, although the virus exists
in labs around the world and could be used
in future biological attacks.
5. Germans pioneered the use of biological
weapons during WWI by using anthrax and glanders
to infect animals and animal feed around the
world. What is glanders you may ask? Glanders
is a contagious disease that affects horses
and other animals and causes death in just
days. They were hoping to kill animals that
were used for food and transportation. Again,
itâ™s not clear how successful it was or
what kind of lasting effects it may have had.
4. The Japanese were huge supporters of biological
warfare during WWII and launched a bio-weapons
program called Unit 731 that killed at least
10,000 prisoners from experimental infection
or execution after experiments for autopsy.
The stories from their secret program are
not for the faint of heart.
3. Unit 731 also conducted 11 field studies
where they poisoned wells in Chinese villages
to study cholera and typhus outbreaks, and
contaminated their food supply with cholera,
Salmonella, and anthrax as well as the plague.
2. Unit 731 also weaponized the plague by
collecting infected fleas and dropping them
by plane over Chinese cities, rice fields,
and along roads causing epidemics that lasted
for years after the war ended. Up to 15 million
fleas were released in each attack. But Bio-warfare
is a two-edged sword. Sometimes all of these
things would backfire as Japanese soldiers
also began to die after they accidentally
infected themselves since they had no idea
how to really control these bioweapons. Its
not easy to control diseases that you shower
over
the countryside.
1. During the Cold War the United States military
conducted open air tests to study the spread
of a disease on a large city. In the United
States. Harmless bacteria were released on
the east and west coast infecting about 800,000
people in just San Francisco alone. Bacteria
was also released into the New York Subway,
bus stations, and airports, in order to test
its effects. The government realized that
in minutes, thousands of people could be affected
by a major outbreak.
Will they be used again? It is only a question
of when.
