Exposure Exercises for Panic Attack Symtoms
okay I'm back and we're going to talk
about
this which I go on Tuesday from
Stuart my peer worker from Penumbra basically what
this is
it's a exposure exercises for panic
disorder and
what that means is they are exercises
designed to desensitized to the symptoms
of a panic attack
so we're just gonna go through them and
hopefully you'll find them helpful
so first up is running on the spot
for 30 seconds to 1 minute that's to
simulate
racing heart breathlessness and chest
discomfort
so that's so all the these emm are going effect
symptoms that you get with a panic
attack
so number two as running up and down the
stairs for 30 seconds to 1 minute
and for obviously racing heart
breathlessness
chest discomefort and
number two is rapid deep breathing for 30
seconds to 1 minute
and that's that simulates
dizziness breathlessness racing heat numbness and tingling
next up is shaking head from side to
side
on moving head over and while drawing a
circle in front of you
with your nose for 30 seconds and that
one's
