Conquer Fear, Panic, and Death ~ Satsang with Mooji
You're the Master,
mind is your servant.
That's the correct relationship.
Sometimes I say, andquot;Don't try and stop your thoughts.andquot;
Allow them FULL range to express themself,
but don't identify ... try and see.
Just be an audience to your own
thinking, that's going on by itself.
You say, andquot;Okay, I didn't order a take-away of thoughts.andquot;
Okay, they come.
Eyes open ... okay,
and then something panics,
and go, 'Oh no, you know I wish ...'
which also adds fuel to that fire.
because it's like
resistance and
it seems sometimes
some negative aspect of mind grows with resistance.
So you watch this.
Be aware of this.
Don't say, andquot;Okay, I want to stop it,andquot;
although it is natural to have this desire for a minute.
But if that desire come also,
just let that join the fire like everything else.
You stay out of it
as much as possible.
Maybe it might feel like, you know, andquot;Oh my God!andquot;
andquot;This is even worse! I can't do it.andquot;
andquot;I'm gonna really ...andquot;
andquot;It really is overtaking me now.andquot;
Then be fully overtaken.
Allow yourself to say,
andquot;Okay, overtake me.andquot;
But I am only permitted just to look,
not to interpret, not to judge,
you know?
Because this is what's being pulled up here;
the sap is rising, you know,
to identify, andquot;Yeah, you know, it's me and ...andquot;
andquot;I wish I'd stop this.andquot;
And this, the fire, it's crackling now.
It's on full ... bonfire.
But let it happen
and stay out of it.
Stay in your own neutrality.
At first, like I say, it may feel like,
andquot;It's impossible, it's impossible!andquot;
But then you recognise that this voice that says it's impossible
is also firewood.
You stay there
and see.
You can say, andquot;Don't try to prevent.andquot;
andquot;Okay, throw your best punch.andquot;
andquot;Burn my world.andquot;
At the beginning,
sometimes the inquiry
is being used
more as a pacifier or a pain killer
or something.
So, there's still ... it's not true.
It's as though
you're looking for rescue.
I don't want you to look for rescue
because then you are automatically in a position of a victim.
You understand?
You're just the eyes looking
and the body feeling.
Let the body feel
the presence energetically of fear and noise,
and find your peace in it.
How are you going to do it?
By not having any desire.
Don't say, andquot;No, I wish this would stop!andquot;
andquot;I wish this ...andquot;
no, don't wish it would stop.
Let it just be there.
Just like you're only a visitor
through your eyes alone.
Be alive only through your eyes alone,
and say, andquot;Come, okay, keep coming.andquot;
You know?
And watch the crackling ...
It's okay.
It's your way out ... of this.
So something comes out of this experience,
that you're not just going around,
trying to put out fires.
You are simply just ...
aware of yourself, not aware of that,
because this is where the power goes.
We keep wanting to change the picture.
You keep wanting to change the picture,
which is a projection.
So don't try and change the picture,
or the one who is looking.
Don't try and change anything.
Just be present without identifying
and let the feeling take over.
Be at this place at least
to say, 'Okay,'
'What am I trying to salvage here?'
'What am I so afraid to lose?'
And maybe what the threat is ...
because the mind must have something to blackmail you with,
and identify what this is.
And often it is the fear
of the loss of consciousness,
the loss of existence ...
that maybe this will remove my existence.
Then you can become a traitor.
And so what happened is that
sometimes it comes in you
(it did here)
when it said, okay, even if it meant
the removal of this life, the finish,
I was ready for this.
Okay, go.
Because I found something.
You say,
'Okay, see if you can remove this then.'
Rather than to live for the rest of my life,
you know, cowering under the threats of the mind or something.
So something came there and
it's tremendous.
It belongs with us.
I feel it is part of the auspiciousness
of being a human being,
that you can come to this,
this recognition now.
Then okay, what am I
striving so hard to preserve?
Then I open it up to
to the Infinite.
'Go, do it.'
This is what Ramana did, no?
When he was a boy,
he was visiting, I think, his uncle's house,
seventeen years old or sixteen years old,
and while he was there,
alone in a room,
he had a panic attack.
And he felt in that moment,
'I'm going to die!'
He was so sure about it,
like, 'I'm going to die!'
He was like this.
And somehow he felt
as you do growing up in India -
you see lots of dead bodies, he knows.
He said, 'Okay, I'm going to help ... the death.'
So he stretched himself out like a corpse
like this,
and he actually felt like death was
was arriving -
this kind of tightness and ...
But something inside
was not a part of this experience.
This is what he came to see in that moment.
He said, 'If I'm going to die,'
'I don't want to miss it.'
He came to see.
'I have to watch what happen'
'until the lights go out.'
And the lights did not go out.
He found instead that there's a power there ...
that he could feel
the full presence of his Being
that was not under threat.
It was not going out.
Something, the body was behaving,
maybe the body was going blue,
or something like this,
but something else is here
that wasn't caught in this process.
And it took this experience somehow maybe
to shock forever the fear out of himself,
and that was his moment of Awakening.
And some fifty years later,
his body did die
actually physically.
And many wonder, 'Where is he now?'
'What is his state?'
Because he conquered death then, in fact,
because he welcome ...
he says, 'Okay.'
'If this is my threat,'
you know,
'Then, okay, I want to see what happen. '
If this body is going to
go through a spontaneous combustion ...
only your socks left!
Okay?
Then I want to see up to the last moment how it happen.
I want to see what happen.
You can have this attitude, you know.
Okay, this fear ...
okay, wake up in the morning,
and ... the show starts,
and it's ...
Find yourself in this.
Say, 'Okay, go on, go on.
Okay, it's like this.'
I'm not going to sit there going,
'Oh, it's another terrible day.'
'What am I gonna do?
I wish it would stop, oh my God!'
'How we manage to go on holiday?
I need to go to India!'
'I need some satsangs.'
Just stay in this moment.
Say, 'Okay, come. Do it.'
I can't emphasise more strongly
that encouragement
to let it
go through you ...
not you go through it.
Let it go through you.
- I've just been hiding from it.
You know, I feel I've had a big ...
- And your very hiding
is itself
energising it.
Because the moment,
because you're looking for mercy for yourself.
Like, you know, please sometimes we're praying to the mind,
'Mind, please be good today!'
'Please don't show me up, please, please!'
Looking for mercy from the mind,
it's not a good relationship.
It's not a good relationship because
you're the Master,
mind is your servant.
That's the correct relationship.
It's your way out of this.

hot two hundred thousand dollar purchase
also this evening
what do you it is just that for many
reasons you see tonight's 12 race card
features the cream of the Illinois crop
all
Illinois polled and conceived and
battling it out for over 1.4 million
dollars in purses
but there's much more involved it's the
worst minute giving back to the fence
and the fans in turn showing their
appreciation and support
by showing up here intros quite a it's
great for all my racing career brings
all the owners and trainers out
a lot of fans come out you know that the
it's a great night
there's more and more people enjoy
harness racing it's a great sport
and a night like this why it just brings
everybody out its
it's a great I poration it just becomes
becomes bigger and bigger makes the
biggest
is is because everybody together wanted
to be big you know you can have a
you can have a horse race and the
have a lot of money at stake but you
know it doesn't hear what
10 12 races 6 takes
know the action on it one time and I
think you see by the crowd here they
love it
for me it's exciting me i i watch a lot
a race the handicap a lotta races but as
you can see how you dress up like this
all the time this is this a special
vice president or prime peachy and panic
attack now compete she won the orange
and blue two-year-old filly pace last
year

his bold prone show she has a the big
heart a
the in the Mile were tickled to death
it's a great program
a again for print for the the price at
the average price of one
can purchase an Illinois read your link
or they can race
British typeof money it's a lot less
investment right now for only: bred
horses
to be able to raise per person for this
size and panic attack goes to the past
as part of a two-horse entry for trainer
text smarts
this filly from the first crop up
masquerade looks for her
eighth win in nine career starts in
tonight's orange and blue for freshman
billings it's panic attack movin out
there were three lei
lead US 99 is second on the outside
proxy Valley chilean panic attacks
bringing it all home now
5 the good US$99 racing
second backs Valley chilliest their
panic attack by six lanes US
19 sec
fact Valley chilean third I was a little
concerned
with racing around the front and because
ship I never really had a wrister the
home I'll on the front and she sighs
come from off the pace and
and finish real strongly but I felt like
with the fractions the way they were
they were slow the first half that
she would be able to handle front and
the home I'll on another subject
tell us your thoughts about what super
night does where the
horsemen in Illinois what kinda boost
that gives them well I think it's
its exactly words and title the Super
night
it showcases all the finest Illinois
breads in the state and get everybody
out here and there's opportunity for
everybody together
their hand in the till so to speak
there's giveaways
a it's just a great night for harness
racing in Illinois
scores on a quite super I mean this is
the third year I've had the opportunity
to 10 twice a secretary state now is
governor and it really brings out the
best in harness racing in Illinois
brings out the biggest crowd of the year
sportsmen and I think spotlights this
industry
and gets the some people maybe who
wouldn't be interested other
then because the published today in all
the excitement on super night so it
worked out very well for
harness racing in Illinois and we hope
it will result in an expanded business
in this state
so a big night indeed a super night here
at Sportsman's Park
we witnessed great racing seen by over
15,000 fans including a little like
governor jim edgar
there seems to be appealing at Unity
income robbery here among the fans the
horsemen and track management
and tonight every horse in every race
gotta check in everybody had a good time
it was a night when there were no losers
only winners at Sportsman's Park in
Illinois Gary Sidell for harness racing
91 a super night at Sportsman's Park
when we come back we'll check in on
another trip
