Natural Remedies For Anxiety

yet powerful secret that allowed me to
get practically instant relief on
command
something you can do absolutely anywhere
at anytime
so subtle that no one around you will
even notice you doing
and you might be wondering just like I
did how can something so simple
really work and will that work for
anybody will work for you
as Anna revealed to me not only is the
secret behind her unique 62nd panic
solution based on cutting-edge science
it's been known to each in Chinese
medicine Buddhist monks
Indian yogis for thousands of years
because
as she explained there's a powerful
connection between your mind and body
specifically your thumb and index finger
and the most primitive part of your
brain that triggers your survival
instinct
people who practice body mind exercises
like
aged yogis have known this amazing
connection has existed for a long time
Anna said now scientific research is
catching up
in fact in a combined recent scientific
breakthroughs in fields such as embodied
cognition
and neurophysiology to create the core
principle behind the 62nd panic solution
a principal she calls neural activation
therapy
and what this means for you is that anna
has taken the best research
tested and proven in peer-reviewed
journals and turned it into practical
methods you don't need a scientist or
lab or a PhD to use for yourself today
because what n/a revealed is a simple
way to use your fingers
and the creative power up your mind to
literally d
activate certain parts of your brain
that are not needed at specific times
in this case the lizard brain that's
causing your panic attacks and high
levels of anxiety
the result I can tell you is almost
instant you can literally switch off a
scary panic or anxiety attack in sixty
Seconds
before it strikes in overpowers
the best part is the only thing you need
to make this technique work for you is
two fingers and the ability to use your
mind to visualize the specific scenario
that and it will teach you
it's as simple as the imagination behind
a child's drawing
and when you combine these two parts and
as Nero activation therapy together
your mind and your body leaving your
panic or anxiety symptoms seems
practically as easy as breathing
again you might say that neural
activation therapy is both
ancient and ahead of its time based on
principles known for thousands of years
been proven by the latest scientific
research and that's why as Anna and I
kept talking
me in my pajamas n/a thousands of miles
away in six hours ahead in our office in
Limerick Ireland
one thought kept coming back to me again
and again
if I could only share what I'm hearing
here with anyone else suffering with
panic and anxiety attacks
anyone who is as confused frightened and
frustrated as I
and that desire only grew stronger as
and I went beyond his 62nd technique and
showed me a simple step-by-step method
to completely eliminate panic and
anxiety for your life
for good in just 21 days so just to
recap
that sixty Seconds to stop your next
panic or anxiety attack in its tracks
before it starts
and three short weeks into you don't
even need to use the 62nd trick anymore
because your symptoms are gone forever
now if you've been suffering from panic
attacks or persistent anxiety
and nothing is work for you up until now
I wouldn't blame you a bit if you were
skeptical something this simple could be
anything more than hocus-pocus
yet the entire reason I put this
presentation together so I can vouch for
everything and a shared with me on that
late night phone call
and in the days and weeks after because
not only did I find myself
almost effortlessly banishing every
panic attack that came my way before to
crush my self-confidence and ruin my day
by the end of my first three weeks
following an advice
it was as though my entire experience
with panic attacks had just been a bad
dream

website and social channels based on your
risks. Be clear on how you escalate issues,
who signs things off, what you do out of hours
- social media doesn't stop for the weekend.
Practising the plan helps too.
Tip Three: Monitor. Social media is fast and
you need to know what people are saying about
your brand. It’s the only way you can quickly
and effectively respond.
Tip Four: Act fast but don't panic. When you’re
under attack, it’s easy to feel powerless.
Take control. Use your plan. Understand the
situation. Make decisions based on what you
know - then respond.
And finally, tip Five: Be real - communicate
with honesty. Don't abandon your values. Don’t
get personal and don’t be defensive.
A negative issue, incident or full-blown crisis
badly handled can be a tombstone dragging
your business down for a long, long time.
Taking these simple steps will ensure that
you're ready for when that crisis hits.
Thanks for listening.

Mental Health Disorders: Signs, Symptoms and Treatments

There is a wide variety of diagnoses that
constitutes mental healthcare. One of the
main areas I specialize in is what we call
mood disorders. So that would be treating
diagnoses such as depression or bipolar disorder.
Another big area of interest for me clinically
is also the anxiety disorders. And that's
another big umbrella that can include anything
from obsessive-compulsive disorder, generalized
anxiety disorder or panic attacks. There are
lots of other psychiatric diagnoses as well
that someone like me as a general psychiatrist
could possibly treat, but those are two of
my areas of clinical interest. There's a mix
of the way that patients present to outpatient
psychiatric care. Oftentimes in some of the
younger patients that I see it's their parents
that first see the signs that they may benefit
from some mental health treatment. Sometimes
with some of the older population, it can
be their kids, their coworkers or their friends.
And I would say about half the time patients
present on their own accord, having noticed
they've had changes to their sleep, their
energy, their appetite and have just become
interested in finding out what options are
available to treat those kind of symptoms.
I think the fact that people present many
different ways with anxiety is what makes
psychiatry so interesting. So there are definitely
types of patients who've will tell you when
you're interviewing them, I've been anxious
as long as I can remember. I was anxious on
the first day of school, I was anxious transitioning
from elementary school to middle school and
so on and so forth. And then there are certainly
patients who find later in life after they've
made transitions easily, may become anxious
related to a big change in their life or some
sort of stressor that's come up. So I think
that patients can present from all walks of
life and in all stages in their life and oftentimes
the symptoms may appear the same despite where
they're coming from. So we definitely feel
in psychiatry that the combination approach
is best. So oftentimes where appropriate,
we can use medications plus therapy. Some
of our anxiety disorders are very readily
treated by therapy and so it's very possible
to get good remission of your symptoms using
only therapy. And part of the role of a psychiatrist
would be to help you differentiate when is
it appropriate for medications to play a role
in your treatment or when should you approach
with simply therap-therapy alone as a first
line option.

Belgian anti-terror police arrest man in connection with Paris attacks - Claustrophobia

Belgian anti-terror police arrest man in connection with Paris attacks

Shot in the Brussels district of Molenbeek,
this footage shows the moment Belgian anti-terror
police
swooped on a man suspected of involvement
in the Paris terror attacks.
The man is one of at least three captured
here by Belgian authorities.
They were reportedly led to Molenbeek by a
discarded parking ticket
found in a rented car seen close to where
one of the attacks took place on Friday night.
At least two others were also arrested in
Molenbeek,
an impoverished district which has been described
as a hotspot for Islamic extremism.
The area has been linked to terror in the
past, including the attack on a Paris grocery
in January,
at the time of the shooting at the offices
of the satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo.
A Frenchman accused of shooting dead four
people at the Jewish Museum
in Brussels last year also spent time in the
area.
Prime Minister Charles Michel said at least
one of those arrested in Molenbeek yesterday
is believed to have spent the previous evening
in Paris.

Claustrophobia

Claustrophobia is the fear of having no escape
and being in closed or small spaces or rooms.
It is typically classified as an anxiety disorder
and often results in panic attack, and can
be the result of many situations or stimuli,
including elevators crowded to capacity, windowless
rooms, and even tight-necked clothing. The
onset of claustrophobia has been attributed
to many factors, including a reduction in
the size of the amygdala, classical conditioning,
or a genetic predisposition to fear small
spaces.
One study indicates that anywhere from 5â€"7%
of the world population is affected by severe
claustrophobia, but only a small percentage
of these people receive some kind of treatment
for the disorder.
Symptoms
Claustrophobia is typically thought to have
two key symptoms: fear of restriction and
fear of suffocation. A typical claustrophobic
will fear restriction in at least one, if
not several, of the following areas: small
rooms, locked rooms, cars, aeroplanes, trains,
tunnels, cellars, elevators, caves. Additionally,
the fear of restriction can cause some claustrophobics
to fear trivial matters such as sitting in
a haircutter’s chair or waiting in line
at a grocery store simply out of a fear of
confinement to a single space. Another possible
site for claustrophobic attacks is a dentist's
chair, particularly during dental surgery;
in that scenario, the fear is not of pain,
but of being confined. Some dentists offer
patients medication to ward off such attacks.
Often, when confined to an area, claustrophobics
begin to fear suffocation, believing that
there may be a lack of air in the area to
which they are confined.
Many claustrophobics remove clothing during
attacks, believing it will relieve the symptoms.
Any combination of the above symptoms can
lead to severe panic attacks. However, most
claustrophobics do everything in their power
to avoid these situations.
Diagnosis
Claustrophobia is the fear of having no escape,
and being closed in to a small space. It is
typically classified as an anxiety disorder
and often results in a rather severe panic
attack. It is also confused sometimes with
Cleithrophobia.
Scale
This method was developed in 1979 by interpreting
the files of patients diagnosed with claustrophobia
and by reading various scientific articles
about the diagnosis of the disorder. Once
an initial scale was developed, it was tested
and sharpened by several experts in the field.
Today, it consists of 20 questions that determine
anxiety levels and desire to avoid certain
situations. Several studies have proved this
scale to be effective in claustrophobia diagnosis.
Questionnaire
This method was developed by Rachman and Taylor,
two experts in the field, in 1993. This method
is effective in distinguishing symptoms stemming
from fear of suffocation and fear of restriction.
In 2001, it was modified from 36 to 24 items
by another group of field experts. This study
has also been proven very effective by various
studies.
Prevalence
One study conducted by University of Wisconsin-Madison’s
neurology department revealed that anywhere
from 2-5% of the world population is affected
by severe claustrophobia, but only a small
percentage of these people receive some kind
of treatment for the disorder.
Causes
The fears of enclosed spaces is an irrational
fear. Most claustrophobic people who find
themselves in a room without windows consciously
know that they aren’t in danger, yet these
same people will be afraid, possibly terrified
to the point of incapacitation, and many do
not know why. The exact cause of claustrophobia
is unknown, but there are many theories.
Amygdala
The amygdala is one of the smallest structures
in the brain, but also one of the most powerful.
The amygdala is needed for the conditioning
of fear, or the creation of a fight-or-flight
response. A fight-or-flight response is created,
when a stimulus is associated with a grievous
situation. Cheng believes that a phobia’s
roots are in this fight-or-flight response.
In generating a fight-or-flight response,
the amygdala acts in the following way: The
amygdala’s anterior nuclei associated with
fear communicate with each other. Nuclei send
out impulses to other nuclei, which influence
respiratory rate, physical arousal, the release
of adrenaline, blood pressure, heart rate,
behavioral fear response, and defensive responses,
which may include freezing up. These reactions
constitute an ‘autonomic failure’ in a
panic attack.
A study done by Fumi Hayano found that the
right amygdala was smaller in patients who
suffered from panic disorders. The reduction
of size occurred in a structure known as the
corticomedial nuclear group which the CE nucleus
belongs to. This causes interference, which
in turn causes abnormal reactions to aversive
stimuli in those with panic disorders. In
claustrophobic people, this translates as
panicking or overreacting to a situation in
which the person finds themselves physically
confined.
Classical conditioning
Claustrophobia results as the mind comes to
connect confinement with danger. It often
comes as a consequence of a traumatic childhood
experience, although the onset can come at
any point in an individual’s life. Such
an experience can occur multiple times, or
only once, to make a permanent impression
on the mind. The majority of claustrophobic
participants in an experiment done by Lars-Göran
Öst reported that their phobia had been andquot;acquired
as a result of a conditioning experience.andquot;
In most cases, claustrophobia seems to be
the result of past experiences.
Conditioning experiences
A few examples of common experiences that
could result in the onset of claustrophobia
in children are as follows:
A child is shut into a pitch-black room and
cannot find the door or the light-switch.
A child gets shut into a box.
A child is locked in a closet.
A child falls into a deep pool and cannot
swim.
A child gets separated from their parents
in a large crowd and gets lost.
A child sticks their head between the bars
of a fence and then cannot get back out.
A child crawls into a hole and gets stuck,
or cannot find their way back.
A child is left in their parent's car, truck,
or van.
The term ‘past experiences,’ according
to one author, can extend to the moment of
birth. In John A. Speyrer’s ‘’Claustrophobia
and the Fear of Death and Dying,’’ the
reader is brought to the conclusion that claustrophobia’s
high frequency is due to birth trauma, about
which he says is andquot;one of the most horrendous
experiences we can have during our lifetime,andquot;
and it is in this helpless moment that the
infant develops claustrophobia.
Magnetic resonance imaging, or the MRI, has
been attributed to the onset of claustrophobia.
Since a patient has to be put into the center
of a magnet to optimize imaging, the patient
finds themselves in a narrow tube for an extended
period of time. In a study involving claustrophobia
and the MRI, it was reported that 13% of patients
experienced a panic attack during the procedure.
The procedure has been linked not only to
the triggering of ‘preexisting’ claustrophobia,
but also to the onset in some people. These
panic attacks during the procedure make it
so the patient is unable to adjust to the
situation, and therefore the fear remains.
S.J. Rachman tells of an extreme example citing
the experience of 21 miners in the Claustrophobia
section of ‘’Phobias: A Handbook of Theory,
Research, and Treatment.’’ These miners
were trapped underground for 14 days, during
which six of the miners died of suffocation.
After their rescue, ten of the miners were
studied for ten years. All but one were greatly
changed by the experience, and six of those
developed phobias, phobias that involved andquot;confining
or limiting situations.andquot; The only miner who
did not develop any noticeable symptoms was
the one who acted as leader.
Another factor that could cause the onset
of claustrophobia is andquot;information received.andquot;
As Aureau Walding states in ‘’Causes of
Claustrophobia,’’ many people, especially
children, learn who and what to fear by watching
parents or peers. This method does not only
apply to observing a teacher, but also observing
victims. Vicarious classical conditioning
also includes when a person sees another person
exposed directly to an especially unpleasant
situation. This would be analogous to observing
someone getting stuck in a tight space, suffocated,
or any of the other examples that were listed
above.
Prepared phobia
There is research that suggests that claustrophobia
isn’t entirely a classically conditioned
or learned phobia. It is not necessarily an
inborn fear, but it is very likely what is
called a prepared phobia. As Erin Gersley
says in ‘’Phobias: Causes and Treatments,’’
humans are genetically predisposed to become
afraid of things that are dangerous to them.
Claustrophobia may fall under this category
because of its andquot;wide distribution… early
onset and seeming easy acquisition, and its
non-cognitive features.andquot; The acquisition of
claustrophobia may be part of a vestigial
evolutionary survival mechanism, a dormant
fear of entrapment and/or suffocation that
was once important for the survival of humanity
and could be easily awakened at any time.
Hostile environments in the past would have
made this kind of pre-programmed fear necessary,
and so the human mind developed the capacity
for andquot;efficient fear conditioning to certain
classes of dangerous stimuli.andquot;
Rachman provides an argument for this theory
in his article: ‘’Phobias.’’ He agrees
with the statement that phobias generally
concern objects that constitute a direct threat
to human survival, and that many of these
phobias are quickly acquired because of an
andquot;inherited biological preparedness.andquot; This
brings about a prepared phobia, which is not
quite innate, but is widely and easily learned.
As Rachman explains in the article: andquot; The main
features of prepared phobias are that they
are very easily acquired, selective, stable,
biologically significant, and probably [non-cognitive].andquot;
‘Selective’ and ‘biologically significant’
mean that they only relate to things that
directly threaten the health, safety, or survival
of an individual. ‘Non-cognitive’ suggests
that these fears are acquired unconsciously.
Both factors point to the theory that claustrophobia
is a prepared phobia that is already pre-programmed
into the mind of a human being.
Treatment
Cognitive therapy
Cognitive therapy is a widely accepted form
of treatment for most anxiety disorders. It
is also thought to be particularly effective
in combating disorders where the patient doesn’t
actually fear a situation but, rather, fears
what could result from being in such a situation.
The ultimate goal of cognitive therapy is
to modify distorted thoughts or misconceptions
associated with whatever is being feared;
the theory is that modifying these thoughts
will decrease anxiety and avoidance of certain
situations. For example, cognitive therapy
would attempt to convince a claustrophobic
patient that elevators are not dangerous but
are, in fact, very useful in getting you where
you would like to go faster. A study conducted
by S.J. Rachman shows that cognitive therapy
decreased fear and negative thoughts/connotations
by an average of around 30% in claustrophobic
patients tested, proving it to be a reasonably
effective method.
In vivo exposure
This method forces patients to face their
fears by complete exposure to whatever fear
they are experiencing. This is usually done
in a progressive manner starting with lesser
exposures and moving upward towards severe
exposures. For example, a claustrophobic patient
would start by going into an elevator and
work up to an MRI. Several studies have proven
this to be an effective method in combating
various phobias, claustrophobia included.
S.J. Rachman has also tested the effectiveness
of this method in treating claustrophobia
and found it to decrease fear and negative
thoughts/connotations by an average of nearly
75% in his patients. Of the methods he tested
in this particular study, this was by far
the most significant reduction.
Interoceptive exposure
This method attempts to recreate internal
physical sensations within a patient in a
controlled environment and is a less intense
version of in vivo exposure. This was the
final method of treatment tested by S.J. Rachman
in his 1992 study. It lowered fear and negative
thoughts/connotations by about 25%. These
numbers did not quite match those of in vivo
exposure or cognitive therapy, but still resulted
in significant reductions.
Other forms of treatment that have also been
shown to be reasonably effective are psychoeducation,
counter-conditioning, regressive hypnotherapy
and breathing re-training. Medications often
prescribed to help treat claustrophobia include
anti-depressants and beta-blockers, which
help to relieve the heart-pounding symptoms
often associated with anxiety attacks.
Studies
MRI procedure
Because they can produce a fear of both suffocation
and restriction, MRI scans often prove difficult
for claustrophobic patients. In fact, estimates
say that anywhere from 4â€"20% of patients
refuse to go through with the scan for precisely
this reason. One study estimates that this
percentage could be as high as 37% of all
MRI recipients. The average MRI takes around
50 minutes; this is more than enough time
to evoke extreme fear and anxiety in a severely
claustrophobic patient.
This study was conducted with three goals:
1. To discover the extent of anxiety during
an MRI. 2. To find predictors for anxiety
during an MRI. 3. To observe psychological
factors of undergoing an MRI. Eighty patients
were randomly chosen for this study and subjected
to several diagnostic tests to rate their
level of claustrophobic fear; none of these
patients had previously been diagnosed with
claustrophobia. They were also subjected to
several of the same tests after their MRI
to see if their anxiety levels had elevated.
This experiment concludes that the primary
component of anxiety experienced by patients
was most closely connected to claustrophobia.
This assertion stems from the high Claustrophobic
Questionnaire results of those who reported
anxiety during the scan. Almost 25% of the
patients reported at least moderate feelings
of anxiety during the scan and 3 were unable
to complete the scan at all. When asked a
month after their scan, 30% of patients reported
that their claustrophobic feelings had elevated
since the scan. The majority of these patients
claimed to have never had claustrophobic sensations
up to that point. This study concludes that
the Claustrophobic Questionnaire should be
used before allowing someone to have an MRI.
Use of virtual reality distraction to reduce
claustrophobia
The present case series with two patients
explored whether virtual reality distraction
could reduce claustrophobia symptoms during
a mock magnetic resonance imaging brain scan.
Two patients who met DSM-IV criteria for specific
phobia, situational type reported high levels
of anxiety during a mock 10-min MRI procedure
with no VR, and asked to terminate the scan
early. The patients were randomly assigned
to receive either VR or music distraction
for their second scan attempt. When immersed
in an illusory three-dimensional virtual world
named SnowWorld, patient 1 was able to complete
a 10-min mock scan with low anxiety and reported
an increase in self-efficacy afterwards. Patient
2 received andquot;music onlyandquot; distraction during
her second scan but was still not able to
complete a 10-min scan and asked to terminate
her second scan early. These results suggest
that immersive VR may prove effective at temporarily
reducing claustrophobia symptoms during MRI
scans and music may prove less effective.
Separating the fear of restriction and fear
of suffocation
Many experts who have studied claustrophobia
claim that it consists of two separable components:
fear of suffocation and fear of restriction.
In an effort to fully prove this assertion,
a study was conducted by three experts in
order to clearly prove a difference. The study
was conducted by issuing a questionnaire to
78 patients who received MRIs.
The data was compiled into a andquot;fear scaleandquot;
of sorts with separate subscales for suffocation
and confinement. Theoretically, these subscales
would be different if the contributing factors
are indeed separate. The study was successful
in proving that the symptoms are separate.
Therefore, according to this study, in order
to effectively combat claustrophobia, it is
necessary to attack both of these underlying
causes.
However, because this study only applied to
people who were able to finish their MRI,
those who were unable to complete the MRI
were not included in the study. It is likely
that many of these people dropped out because
of a severe case of claustrophobia. Therefore,
the absence of those who suffer the most from
claustrophobia could have skewed these statistics.
A group of students attending the University
of Texas at Austin were first given an initial
diagnostic and then given a score between
1 and 5 based on their potential to have claustrophobia.
Those who scored a 3 or higher were used in
the study. The students were then asked how
well they felt they could cope if forced to
stay in a small chamber for an extended period
of time. Concerns expressed in the questions
asked were separated into suffocation concerns
and entrapment concerns in order to distinguish
between the two perceived causes of claustrophobia.
The results of this study showed that the
majority of students feared entrapment far
more than suffocation. Because of this difference
in type of fear, it can yet again be asserted
that there is a clear difference in these
two symptoms.
Probability ratings in claustrophobic patients
and non-claustrophobics
This study was conducted on 98 people, 49
diagnosed claustrophobics and 49 andquot;community
controlsandquot; to find out if claustrophobics'
minds are distorted by andquot;anxiety-arousingandquot;
events to the point that they believe those
events are more likely to happen. Each person
was given three eventsâ€"a claustrophobic
event, a generally negative event, and a generally
positive eventâ€"and asked to rate how likely
it was that this event would happen to them.
As expected, the diagnosed claustrophobics
gave the claustrophobic events a significantly
higher likelihood of occurring than did the
control group. There was no noticeable difference
in either the positive or negative events.
However, this study is also potentially flawed
because the claustrophobic people had already
been diagnosed. Diagnosis of the disorder
could likely bias one’s belief that claustrophobic
events are more likely to occur to them.

Is Anxiety Dangerous? How Anxiety May Be Killing You - Managing stress and anxiety to live well

Is Anxiety Dangerous? How Anxiety May Be Killing You

Is Anxiety Dangerous? http://anxietyreliefzone.com/is-anxiety-dangerous/
If you suffer from anxiety and panic attacks
you probably always feel like you are sick,
dying or worse!
This is normal. Anyone who has ever suffered
with an anxiety disorder knows what it's like
to worry constantly about how they feel and
to worry about how sick you are.
But is anxiety dangerous? Are you actually
in any real harm's way?
Normal amounts of stress and anxiety are actually
very helpful to us. If you work at a very
stressful job
you know that at times of high stress you
can actually get a lot of work done.
This is because our body kicks into gear,
allowing us to do great things. But when the
anxiety becomes too great, we are unable to
get anything done.
This can be dangerous if untreated, but how
much so?

Managing stress and anxiety to live well

Before I even got out of the
Air Force, I had started
really struggling with
anxiety attacks and
sleeplessness and fears.
Getting out of the military was
interesting and exciting.
That maybe presented some of the
most anxiety I ever felt.
It's scary, you know, because
you have this whole life that
you learned.
For me, it was six
years active duty
in an infantry unit.
Now I have to all of a sudden
go be a civilian.
I didn't really notice the
anxiety until actually I got
back from the Academy.
Probably just a natural
reaction, but it seemed
overblown to me that getting
stuck in traffic, I was just
getting so angry.
Well, a lot of my issues were
generalized anxiety.
So I have a lot of issues with
perfectionism and just putting
too much pressure on
myself, which is
definitely from the military.
I think part of it was
self-induced stress.
And I knew I was
transitioning.
I knew I was getting out.
What do I want to
do with my life?
And oh my gosh, what's that
going to be like?
The big unknown.
I got really nervous going
to new places and
places I hadn't been.
I would kind of say,
I don't know.
I don't know why.
But I had a friend that would
say, hey, you want to go to
dinner tonight?
I said, no, I don't want to.
I'd make up an excuse like,
oh, no, I've got homework.
But really I was kind of like,
oh, I'm afraid if I go I'm
going to have an
anxiety attack.
With the anxiety, your
heart races.
I mean, it goes just
insanely fast.
You sweat.
You get paranoid.
You keep looking over
your shoulder.
Insomnia.
You don't sleep.
Your body's so tired, especially
after these anxiety
and panic attacks.
It really feels like ran a
marathon, but you didn't.
I ultimately felt that my
anxiety was kind of
overwhelming.
And it was less that I needed
to manage it, because it was
taking all of my energy
to manage it.
It was taking up my whole day.
I had a panic attack, a
full-on panic attack.
And I still don't know what
I was doing at that time.
I called one of my friends.
I said, you have to drive me,
because I can't even drive.
And that was my first time
going to the VA.
They diagnosed it as
a panic attack.
And my treatment started
from that point.
I missed two weeks at school.
I missed finals, which
the school let me
make up later on.
But after that I said,
you know what?
I really need to get
help for this.
So I went to the VA.
I got referred to see a couple
mental health professionals.
And we talked.
And three months after getting
out, I felt more like myself
than I had in years before.
It started out biweekly meeting
with a counselor.
I mean, it almost felt like
we just had a casual
conversation.
I felt really comfortable
speaking to the counselor that
I was with.
And it really helped
out a lot.
One of the things that was
really crucial to me was
remembering that I did have a
support system, knowing that I
had the capacity to reach
out and ask for help.
I talked to my family who I'm
really close with about it.
And I did have I guess my own
little support channel outside
of the military.
And I wanted to do better
for myself.
My wife pushes me.
Having that person in my
relationship that pushes me,
along with the therapy,
that's helped me out.
And that's I think what's been
helping me out the most,
having that drive
to get better.
I've definitely noticed an
improvement and a difference.
I would say that, especially now
after seeking treatment,
I've been doing much better at
trying to manage my symptoms
and cope with them as they
happen, or even prevent them.

Today:
21st batch Inner Awakening, 11th day. We are
beginning the third level, the Science of
Creation in Inner Awakening. All Completion
is for creation.
Nithyanandeshwara Brahmotsava, 4th day today.
So, Nithyanandeshwara and Nithyanandeshwari
are gracing us here as part of the Brahmotsava
celebrations.

18th batch eN-Genius.
And, 21st batch Nirahara Samyama. This time,
both are overlapping â€" 21st batch Inner
Awakening and 21st batch Nirahara Samyama.
Today, I’ll expand on the “Science of Creation”.
Before entering into the subject
â€" the Science of Creation, creating â€"
I’ll complete with whatever I was speaking yesterday.
Yesterday, in the morning satsangh, I was
expanding on how visualization, understanding
about form and visualization can directly
liberate you and lead you to spontaneous Completion.
Please listen, come to the space of listening.
The form which you see has no problem, but
the incompletion you infuse into it has a problem.
Please listen. This one example:
In your whole life you may see the snake only
once or twice, that also from a very safe
distance but every day the number of times
you remember the snake with fear and the panic
attack you go through with the fear, the panic
attack you go through with the visualization,
and the damage that panic attack does to your system,
you die by the remembrance of the
snake, not by seeing or getting bitten by
the snake. The remembrance kills more number
of people. Remembrance reduces your longevity.
Remembrance reduces the longevity in more
number of lives than actual happening.
The remembrance of poverty makes you live
as a miser. Miser and poor are one and the
same. Poor at least knows he does not have;
but miser he thinks he has, but never knows how to live.
So, listen, miser and the poor
are one and the same. Miser and poor are one
and the same. Listen. Who is miser? Who lives
with the remembrance of poverty. All the time
he remembers poverty; because he remembers
poverty all the time, he is in deep insecurity;
because he is in deep insecurity, he never
lives the money he has.
So, miser is poor guy who is poor psychologically also.
Same way, if you don’t use your body by doing
Yoga and being active, you are also a miser.
Many people think, ‘Oh, if I work too much
in this age, later on I will fall sick, my
health will collapse.’ As I said these people
also, by remembrance of diseases, they live
in disease. The remembrance makes you live
now itself in that same space.
Listen, this is a very important thing. Many
times, the moment you start doubting,
‘This relationship in my life, this person is going
to move out of my life.’ You feel, ‘Before
he moves out, let me move out! Before he hurts
me, let me hurt him!’ So, just because you
start thinking he may move out, you move out
of his life, you distance yourself.
How many of you have done this raise your hand? This
is again just by remembrance, just by thinking,
destroying the life. Listen, just by thinking,
‘I may become poor’, already you start
living the life of poverty. Just by thinking,
‘He may move out of my life; I’ll feel hurt’,
you start moving out of his life or her life. What a pathetic condition human-beings
live in, under the dominance of the devilish
dragon, demonic visualization called “incompletion”!
Don’t you see what a strange life we are
living? If we think he will distance from
us, a friend, or a brother, or a sister, or
a father, or a mother, or son, whatever relationship,
or even Guru.
Alright, even if he distances, when he distances
let us face! ‘No, no, no, no he may distance
so let me distance now itself. It is like
because you are going to die one day, today
itself drink poison and commit suicide! Is
that life? Is that an intelligent decision?
There are fools: ‘Anyhow, one day I am going
to die why not let me drink poison today itself
and die?’ No that is not an intelligent
life. That is not intelligent decision.
Listen,
instead, “Any one day I am going to become
complete; let me become complete from today!”
That should be the decision. That is what
is “Smaranaath Arunachalam”! Any one day
I am going to be liberated; let me remember
Arunachala now itself and be liberated. Understand,
whatever you think is going to happen, IS
going to happen! So, build your beliefs in
the right direction that it IS going to happen.
Please listen, whatever you think is going
to happen, IS going to happen, because you
will make it happen. You will make it happen!
You are powerful enough! If you want to be
a leader, enlightened one, you will make it
happen, because you are capable. If you want
to live in poverty and you are constantly
thinking about it, you will make it happen.
You will make it happen, you will get into poverty.
If you think, ‘How much ever I
practice; I’ll only be in the space of powerlessness.’
You will make it happen because, that is what
you wanted. So, all you need to do, just shift
your core visualization, core cognition, your
core energy, your core understanding.
I tell you, I’ll give you few examples.
Instead of all the time fighting with your
mind which is thinking about negative things
like, ‘Oh, what will happen if I fall sick?’
‘What will happen if I become poor?’ ‘What
will happen if I become bankrupt?’ ‘What
will happen if this happens, that happens?’
Then you tell your mind, ‘No that and all
will not happen, do not bother.’ This is
the fight you all the time you are doing.
Am I right? How many of you all the time in
this fight? Shift the very zone of fight
into positive creation. For example, if you
are all the time afraid of bankruptcy, decide,
‘I am going to become billionaire.’ So,
the fight will be in your inner space you
will I become billionaire or not?
You may have millions, but the fight will no more
be whether bankruptcy or not. Let the fight
always be in the zone of creation, not in
the zone of destruction. You are fighting
in a wrong zone.
Please understand Mahabharata beautifully
says, “Let the fight be in Kurukshetra.”
In Sanskrit, “Kurukshetra” means “Space
of Creation”. “Kuru” â€" doing.
Let the fight be in the space of doing, creation.
Please listen it is in Kurukshetra, “Kuru”
means “doing”. The whole place of fight
should be different. Not with the lowest realm,
with the highest realm. So, you’ll always
be in the middle. In the fight itself, you
will always be in the middle, and in the end
you will be at the peak. So let always let
your fight be, ‘Will I become CEO or not?’
Not ‘Will I lose this job or not?’
Now all your fight is, ‘Will I lose this job
or not?’ All your worrying, all your thinking,
all your basic cognition is, ‘Will I lose
this job or not?’ Even in your nightmare,
in your dreams, you’re only worried ‘Will
I lose this job or not?’ No! ‘Will I become
CEO or not?’ Shift the battle-field let
it be Kurukshetra. Let the Kurukshetra be
the battle-field. “Dharma Kshetre Kurukshetre.”
All, please listen, the fight in your life
it is in the field of creation, you are living
in Dharma. If it is in the field of failure,
you are living in Adharma. This is the exact
meaning of the first sloka in Gita:
Dharmakshetre Kurukshetre Samavetayuyutsavaha |
Maamakaah Paandavaashchaiva Kimakurvata Sanjaya
||
Listen, life is fight till you are enlightened
but let your fight be in the field of creation,
not constantly in the field of losing. Let
your visualization be: ‘Will I become CEO
or not?’ ‘Will I reach my peak or not?’‘Will
I become a great Yogi or not?’ ‘Will I
become a great Jnani or not?’ ‘Will I
become a rich guy or not?’ ‘Will I become
powerful or not?’ ‘Will I become a leader
or not? ‘Will I become enlightened or not?’
Let the fight be in the direction of Kuru,
creation.
I tell you, if your fight is in
the direction of Kuru, very easily you will
win the game with very less stress, very less stress.
I tell you, there are some political leaders
who have very less stress than sadhus and
Swamis, because their fighting zone is in
the field of creation, these sadhus, their
fighting is in the field of failure. The ground
on which the battle happens decides your existence
and expansion. Don’t be constantly fighting
with, ‘Will the snake bite me and I’ll die?’,
or ‘Will I get a heart-attack and
die?’, ‘Will my health collapse?’,
‘Will I become bankrupt?’, ‘Will I lose this
job?’ No! ‘When will I become Yogi?’,
‘When will I reach my peak health?’, ‘When
will I become CEO?’, ‘When will I become the top,
peak power center?’, ‘When will
I become enlightened?’ Let the battle-field,
battle-ground be shifted and, I tell you,
it does not take more than forty-eight hours
to convince you to shift the battle-ground
for yourself. You just need to complete some
of the self-doubts which you are carrying,
which you got as “Sthree Dhana” from your
family, from your elders. Just you need to
complete with those self-doubts which you
got as “Sthree Dhana” from your elders.
Complete with them. Change the battle-ground;
immediately you will experience so much of
Completion. I tell you the moment you change
the battle-ground, you may become even enlightened,
because it’s your default parking spot that
decides whether you are enlightened or not.
Otherwise you are enlightened,
you just need to remember and reclaim it. The best way to remember and reclaim it is to complete with
the self-doubt and shift the battle-ground. See, now your battle-ground is: ‘Any one day I am going to become bankrupt.
Let me delay it as much as possible’ Instead:
‘Any one day I am going to become the richest
being. Let me do it as early as possible.’
So, your goal should be your parking spot,
default parking spot. You can take your car
wherever you want, but finally you will park
where it belongs to; means, your garage.
Same way, your mind can go wherever it wants, but
end of the day it should come and park in
the spot of your goal, not your accident.
Accidents may happen or may not happen, but
accident spot cannot be parking spot. In your
life, bad things may happen or may not happen,
but that is not the spot where you should
park yourself. Listen, your parking spot should
be the spot of creation, spot of Kurukshetra.
Duryodhanas, Duryodhanadhis were all the time
fighting with their insecurities.
Pandavas were all the time fighting to create Indraprastha. So, the Pandavas were living in Dharma.
The Kauravas were living in self-destructive mentality,
Adharma.
Please listen, if you think, ‘Any one day
I am going to become bankrupt. Let me do whatever
I can to protect, stop, delay ’, you are
in Adharma because your pull. See, inside
you, you have a powerful force, whether it
acts like a power of gravity or power of levitation,
whether it is going to be pulling you down
or raising you up, whether you are in the
hands of gravity or grace. If you are in the
hands of gravity, you are going towards grave.
If you are in the hands of grace, you are
going to become great. So your default cognition
and I tell you, the moment you battle-field
changes, your strategies will change, your
understanding will change, your whole expression
will change.
Just the other day I was sitting with Atal
Acharya and discussing. We got a very old book
a reference notes about Akhada which
says, when Aurangazeb attacked Varanasi â€" the
Jnanavyapi War â€" two lakh Atal Naga sannyasis
conquered the Aurangazeb’s army,won the
war and protected the Varanasi Vishwanatha
Temple but, unfortunately, during a festival
after two months, during a festival when the
Nagas were without weapon, when they were
celebrating, doing rituals, they attacked,
they did a guerilla attack, and killed the
top leaders. So we were discussing all these points.
Swamiji was telling, Atal Acharya Mahamandaleshwar
was telling, ‘Still we have all those relics,
memories, Swamiji. Those days, we used to
have one lakh sadhus to study and teach, five
lakh sadhus to wage war and conquer. Five
lakh sadhu army, one lakh sadhu studying!
Shastra dhaaris five lakh, shaastra dhaaris
one lakh! ‘
I told him, ‘Swamiji, it is my commitment
to Atal Peetha, it is my commitment to Akhada,
it is my commitment to the Sarvajna Peetha,
we will revive it, bring at least ten lakh
sadhus. We will become at least ten lakh sadhus’ akhada.’
See, now our need is different; we don’t
need to now take a weapon and wage war. No,
we don’t need that, but we need shaastra
dhaaris who learn and teach, who learn and
preach. We need shaastra dhaaris. We don’t
need shastra dhaaris, we don’t need sadhus
with weapons, we don’t need to go for any
fight; but we need to be shaastra dhaaris,
studying and teaching.
Swamiji was telling, ‘How is it possible
Swamiji to bring that kind of a number back?’
I said, ‘It is possible, because we will
have to completely make the human society,
modern society understand.’
See, it is not that already people who are
interested in spirituality, I will go and
inspire them and make them sannyasis. No.
We will have to start from scratch and make
the common man understand the need and importance
and utility value. If we are waiting, sitting,
‘O, all the people who are interested let
them come to our temple, whoever comes regularly
we will start talking to them and after that
we will inspire them. Then we will make them
attend the IA. And then we will ask them “Why
don’t you become sannyasi? Or if you are
married, then why don’t you at least give
a child to take up sannyas?’ When will this happen? No,
I am not that kind of a strategist.
Reach out to the humanity. Tell them, the reason
‘you are destroying yourself with
suicides, drug, and depression is not having
the right knowledge about life.’ “Shrunvanthu
Vishwe!” Listen, o humanity.
“Amrutasya Putraaha”! You guys are Son of Immortality. “Vedam Ayetam Purushamahantam”!
I have realized the truth I am here to share with you
“Shrunvanthu Vishwe Amrutasya Putra
Vedam Ayetam Purushamahantam”
Listen, O humanity, you need to know, only
by reviving the Vedic tradition,
thousands and thousands, lakhs and lakhs taking up the lifestyle of learning and teaching this great
Science of Completion, these great spiritual
truths, only with that we can save humanity
from depression, drugs and death.
31:20 Hindi - 36:02
Ma Maneesha: Question from devotee. The last
year Swamiji mentioned for the next three
years which is 2012 - 2015 there is a cosmic
conscious shift happening and attending the
Inner Awakening during this period is highly
beneficial. Can you explain the significance
of attending the Inner Awakening, in December,
in Bali in this context?
Swamiji: Please understand this three years,
the Cosmos is going through a huge positive shift.
You can see last year we finished all
the negativities, all the poison is over.
This year we are expanding and this Bali Inner
Awakening is entry into positive explosion.
Please understand that is why this Bali Inner
Awakening is completely altogether a different level.
IA level four, everything is totally
altogether a different level.
Whether the yogic techniques you are going to practice or the Kriyas you are going to do
or the panchita kriyas you are going to do or
the understandings you are going to have.
Everything, everything is going to be totally
different so practically you will have amazing
Power of Words, Power of Thinking, Power of
Feeling and Power of Living. Above all, all
the non-mechanical parts of your brain will
be awakened. Many powers which you have inside
which you do not know, will be awakened and
what more I can say other than come and experience.
It’s really time now that the whole Nithyananda
Sangha also changes, shifts the battle-ground.
Each one of you should shift the battle-ground.
Even many of you guys are in the battle-ground
of survival mode. ‘Anyhow I am going to
be extincted better let me survive, let me
survive let me survive.’ No. Shift it. Anyhow
we are going to become a million sadhus, we
are going to become a Sangha with ten-thousand
temples. Let us do it as early as possible.
Shift the battle-ground. That is victory.
Understand shifting battle-ground itself is
victory because, your whole cognition will
be flowing in that direction, your whole energy
will be flowing in that direction, your whole
thinking will be flowing in that direction,
your whole existence will be flowing in that
direction, your whole strategy planning will
be flowing in that direction. Only if you
know you are going to make it, you will even
take the risk of investing in it, whether
it is your time, energy, money, interest,
emotions, anything. Investing, anything, happens
only when you know you are going to make it.
There is a question from Ma Bhatika; ‘I
am not able to trust enough to let go and
declare completion and shift the ground of
fight. I know it is perfectly possible but
I am not able to trust.’
Then just perish and disappear that’s all!
No you know, ‘fire will burn me, I should
not put my hand in the fire, but still I am
not able to put my hand out of fire I am touching
the fire.’ Then what can be done? Get burnt and perish!
It’s do or die! When you know
it is possible why don’t you do it?
We are Mahanirvani Akhada. We have to revive
it to ten lakh sadhus. It’s our life,
we do it we will do it! Ten lakh sadhus should
learn the Science of Completion, go around
and teach the Science of Completion to the
world. It has to be done. That is life.
It has to be done! That is life!

Overcome Anxiety And Panic At Melbourne Hypnotherapy Clinic

Hi this is Sonia from Melbourne Hypnotherapy
Clinic.com talking about anxiety and panic
attacks today.
90% of my clients have some degree of anxiety
they're dealing with, ranging from mild to
severe. Panic attacks are especially nasty
because once you've had one, it can become
a vicious cycle where you're anticipating
the next panic attack and at the same time
making your anxiety even worse.
It's a condition I've treated for a long time
and it responds exceptionally well to hypnosis
under the right circumstances.
You might find yourself thinking 'I've dealt
with all this stuff in my life - How come
I can't cope now?' It's because while you
may have processed these things consciously,
you've only dealt with them on the surface.
Meanwhile over several weeks, months and sometimes
even years, the baggage builds up in your
subconscious mind just like sludge accumulates
in a barrel.
On another level, anxiety is caused by negative
subconscious beliefs that are locked deep
within your mind. You don't have access to
the tools to allow you to change those beliefs
and this is where I come in.
My methods of treating your anxiety don't
stop when you leave my office. I give you
powerful strategies that you can use at home
to wake up from the trance of fear and stop
being a slave to your emotions.
If you'd like to speak to me about your particular
situation you can give me a call on 0403 920
200 or contact me via my website.
Thanks for watching!
